New Pet Visits
Getting a new puppy or a new kitten is always exciting! One of the first things you should do when you bring your puppy home is to introduce him to his new veterinarian. In fact, as soon as you know when you are going to pick up your puppy, schedule an appointment. This is the first and best step in caring for your puppy's health and well-being.

Sean Goodell, DVM
Dr. Sean Goodell, born and raised in Riverside, California, began his higher education at Riverside Community College. After graduating with a B.S. in Animal Science from Cal Poly Pomona, Dr. Goodell attended UC Davis College of Veterinary Medicine where he received his DVM. Following completion of his medicine and surgery internship at Colorado State University Teaching Hospital, Dr. Goodell returned to California where he joined Bay Animal Hospital in 2001. Dr. Goodell now shares his home in Manhattan Beach with his cat Maggie, a Himalayan mix that he adopted from Bay Animal Hospital in 2004. Dr. Goodell is a big sports fan, partial to the Dodgers, Lakers and USC Trojans. He enjoys reading, working out, traveling and playing golf.
Meredith Lockwood, DVM
Dr. Lockwood has been an associate at Bay Animal Hospital since May 2002. She earned an undergraduate degree from Stanford University and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University Of Illinois College Of Veterinary Medicine. She was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs but prefers the Southern California weather, and lifestyle, and has lived in the Los Angeles area since moving here to complete a small animal surgery and medicine internship in 2000. In her spare time she works on various do–it-yourself home improvement projects, visits family and friends, cheers for her favorite college and pro sports teams (go Cubs and Bears), and spends time with her large mixed-breed dogs Moosie and Maple who were both adopted from BAH after being left for treatment of a broken leg (Moosie) and skin infection (Maple).
