The Staff of Heritage Pet Grooming regularly attend continuing education classes so that your pet can benefit from the latest styling, clip or brushing techniques. Our staff has varied experience with animals in addition to our pet grooming experience.  Most of us have worked in the pet care industry before and have chosen pet grooming as our career.

 

 

 

 

 

Vickie Zwart graduated from the Colorado School of Dog Grooming with a degree in Comprehensive All Breed Dog Grooming and Shop/Boarding Kennel Management.  She opened Heritage in 1995 after working many years for a Veterinarian.  After grooming full-time for many years, her time is now divided between grooming part-time and managing the business.  She specializes in hand-stripping or carding of coats which is one of the custom services Heritage offers.  This service is usually performed on Sporting Breeds and Terriers.  She enjoys riding and driving her 3 horses and showing and breeding her English Cockers when she is not working.

"Lu" (Lutie) Chipman - studied grooming at Heritage through an apprentice program many years ago.  She has now been grooming for approximately 10 years and has a very sweet, calming effect with all dogs and cats.  They all like her!  Lu owns Caviler King Charles Spaniels and is the servant to a couple of cats.

"Gigi" Allen - also graduated from the Colorado School of Dog Grooming and has been grooming for approximately 16 years.  Her bubbly personality is contagious to clients as well as the dogs and cats that she grooms.  She always has something nice to say about your dog and how he did for his grooming.  You will find her mentoring and assisting the "newer" groomers.....you know, those with less then 15 years experience!  Gigi owns a variety of animals including Mastiffs, Saint Bernard, English Cocker, Birds, Alpacias and the wildest of the bunch - 2 teenage boys!

Jaye Holston - has worked in the pet industry for years and has been grooming at Heritage for many years.  Even though she has a young, youthful appearance, she is older and more experienced then most people realize.  (We told her that her youthful appearance will be a blessing some day.)  Jaye grooms all breeds of dogs but allergies prevent her from grooming cats.  She specializes in hand scissoring and when she is finished you would swear your dog should be on the cover of a magazine!

Yvonne Brannon - has been grooming nearly 9 years and is an excellent hand scissor.  She can make a Poodle or a Bichon look like something that came out of a museum.  She has a knack for scissoring.  She has a very calm nature about her which makes all of the dogs she grooms feel comfortable. Maybe that is because she has 2 small children.  You will find her being asked by her co-workers to mentor them on the art of hand scissoring.  She grooms all breeds of dogs (except the very, very large, hairy ones) but allergies prevent her from grooming cats.

"Josh" Joshua Gordon - has worked in this industry for many years.  He is a young man who started working at the age of 16.  Now in his early 20's he has a lot of experience for someone so young.  Josh grooms many of the larger dogs that come to Heritage.  His specialty is the Furminator brushing technique for those dogs who don't get a haircut, but whose biggest problem is shedding.  The Furminator brush removes more undercoat on dogs then we ever thought possible.  The Furminator is amazing and Josh is excellent in the technique.  He is a big teddy bear with the dogs and watching him work....you know he loves his job.

We can't forget to tell you about our Front Desk and bathing staff. Both Kathy and Michelle have been with Heritage for many years, answering all of our phone calls and helping clients.  Cameron is the new kid on the block and doing a great job.  In our Bathing Department we have Jason and Jenny who keep all of the dogs looking and smelling clean.
